5.19.2012 | Baseball
The Keystone and Marywood baseball teams both saw their 2012 seasons end on Saturday afternoon.  In the ECAC South playoffs, fifth seeded Marywood saw top-seeded Wesley score 11 runs over the sixth and seventh innings to erase an early 2-1 deficit and hand the Pacers a 12-3 defeat.  In the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals in Lakewood, NJ, Keystone saw Ramapo score the game-winning run on a two-out, walk off bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning to earn a 3-2 victory, eliminating the Giants.   Marywood ends the season with a 22-19 record, while Keystone sees its season end with a 37-8 mark. 
5.18.2012 | Baseball
LAKEWOOD, NJ:  The Neumann University baseball team was eliminated, while Keystone was moved to the loser's bracket, in the 2012 NCAA D-III Mid-Atlantic Baseball Regional Tournament.   Facing elimination, Neumann defeated Alvernia University 5-3, before the Knights were eliminated from the postseason with a 6-5 loss to Ramapo.   Top-seeded Keystone was also defeated on Friday, falling 2-0 to #2 seed Kean University.  The Giants will now play Ramapo on Saturday at 1:00, with the winner moving on to face Kean for the right to play in the 2012 NCAA Division-III World Series.

LAKEWOOD, NJ:  The Colonial States Athletic Conference went 2-0 on the second day of the 2012 NCAA Division-III Baseball Mid-Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Kean Unviersity in Lakewood, NJ.  In the first game of the day, Neumann staved off elimination, as the Knights took a 5-0 lead in the second inning against Daniel Webster College and never looked back, en-route to an 11-4 victoryRuss Gilliam allowed two earned with nine strikeouts in eight innings of work, while five different Knights recorded two hits.  In the early evening game, top-seeded Keystone found itself down 4-0 to Ramapo after seven innings of play, before plating three in the bottom of the eighth.  In the bottom of the ninth, the Giants would tie the game on a suicide squeeze bunt by Brian Del Rosso, before Jhon Comas ended the game with a one-out, walk-off single to score Miguel Castano and secure the wild 5-4 win. Neumann will now play its second elimination game in as many days on Friday at 1:15,  facing the loser of Thursday night's match up between Kean and Alvernia.  Keystone, which is now 2-0 in the regional, stays in the winner's bracket and will play the winner of the Thursday night game tomorrow at 4:30.

5.16.2012 | Men's Lacrosse

SALISBURY, MD:  The Cabrini College men's lacrosse team saw its season end with a 14-4 loss to top-ranked and undefeated Salisbury University in the NCAA Division-III Quarterfinals.  The defeat snapped a 16-game winning streak for the sixth-ranked Cavaliers, who finish the season with a 17-3 overall record.
